Hi, I'm Jenni

My work is about helping you come back into relationship with your body, rebuild self-trust, reconnect with your sexual aliveness and feel more present in pleasure and intimacy.

This is deeply human work, and it’s work I feel deeply passionate about.

RELEASE SEXUAL SELF-JUDGEMENT

Learn how to trust and reconnect to your body, boundaries, values and sexual energy.

For over 30 years, I’ve been supporting women to understand themselves more deeply through their bodies, sexuality and relationships.

Over those years, I’ve worked with women experiencing sexual disconnection, difficulties with desire, pleasure and intimacy, as well as women carrying the impact of difficult or unwanted sexual experiences and sexual abuse.

I created The Fembodiment™ Method from decades of working with women and seeing that lasting change doesn’t happen through talking and thinking alone. Sometimes, we need to listen to what the body has been trying to tell us.

The Disconnection

I grew up in Melbourne in the late 1950s, at a time when sexuality simply wasn’t something we talked about.

I had no sexual education as a teenager. None, really.

What I learned was that sex was something you did, not necessarily something you enjoyed. Women’s pleasure certainly wasn’t part of the conversation, and sex itself was still very taboo.

I married at 23 and had our two boys in my thirties, after experiencing a lot of difficulty conceiving. Both births were difficult, and looking back now, I can see just how much my body and pelvis had been through.

In my forties, I developed a serious bowel condition. With the support of Ayurvedic doctors, significant changes to my diet and a great deal of emotional work connected with my pelvis, my health began to change.

But there was another part of me asking for attention.

By my late forties, I was tired of feeling so disconnected from my body and my sexual self.

I wanted to understand my sexuality in a way I never had before. I wanted to know what it meant to actually feel pleasure, to be present in my body and to experience sexuality as more than something you simply did.

The Search for Something More

That curiosity took me into several Tantra trainings in Australia.

I went into them looking for understanding and personal discovery, but instead found myself in environments that felt deeply unsafe to me. After four different trainings, I became increasingly disillusioned with what I was experiencing and with some of the people positioning themselves as teachers.

Something didn’t feel right.

Rather than walking away from my curiosity about sexuality altogether, I wanted to understand more. So I went to India.

There I found a teacher whose approach felt ethical, grounded and safer, and I began exploring classical Tantra teachings. I discovered something very different from what I had previously experienced. It was here that I began to understand mindful sexuality, presence and a deeper relationship with my own body.

And I wanted to learn more. Not only for myself, but professionally.

Finding My Own Way

I sought out more substantial training in somatic sex education, sexology and pelvic care, and I became increasingly discerning about who I chose to learn from. That discernment became important to me.

I found wonderful teachers who didn’t ask me to follow them or become a version of them. They encouraged me to think, question, experience the work through my own body and eventually find my own way of working. Over time, my personal journey and professional education began to come together.

I could see the need for a more holistic way of supporting women with sexuality, pleasure, their bodies and intimate lives, and eventually I began creating my own approach and training other women to support women through holistic sex education.

That journey ultimately became The Fembodiment™ Method. So much of what sits at the heart of my work today has grown from what I experienced myself.

The disconnection. The searching. The unsafe spaces. The good teachers. The education. The pelvic bodywork. And the gradual discovery that sexuality can be something we inhabit, rather than simply something we do. It’s also why safety and ethics matter so deeply to me.

And my story continues

I don't believe a teacher or facilitator/coach should ever position themselves as knowing a woman's body better than she does. My role is to help women become more connected to their own bodies, choices, boundaries, pleasure and knowing.

These days, I enjoy a deeply intimate bodyful sex life with my husband of 46 years. We live and work online on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula, where I continue to work with clients and students and share the work that has become such an important part of my life and others lives.

And when I’m not doing that, there’s a very good chance I’m spending time with the other great love in our home, our beautiful whippet, Miss Bette.
